Srebrenica, Bosnia-Herzegovina“Mosque at Srebrenica. The design of this place was spectacular for its simplicity and its purpose. It was made to be open, simple, and unifying so that every individual of any faith would feel welcome to pray here for those who lost their lives.”

When I was young, there was an individual in my life who despite being mentally incapable in certain aspects could quote dialogues from movies, whose joy and laughter was infectious, and who loved those around him endlessly. He is one the best people I know.
I can’t describe how much it pains me when ignorance prevails and people degrade those whom they view as inferior. If ever empathy were to wash over you, you’d know the physical state in which they lead their lives isn’t necessarily the life they asked for. You’d understand the struggle. You’d know that it takes a hell of a lot of strength and an unmeasurable amount of courage.
It has always bothered me when I see individuals mock the uncontrollable actions of the mentally disabled, ie. their inability to compose themselves in a manner we see as “socially acceptable”.
Mostly, it saddens me. There is a special place in my heart reserved for the mentally disabled. You lose any and all respect I might’ve had for you if you openly leer at and rudely mock. It speaks volumes about your character. Quite frankly, you’d have better luck moving mountains than earning any semblance of respect from me back.
Know that how you treat others is a reflection of who are. And know that it’s what you do when others aren’t around to watch that truly matters.

The IP gas pipeline, an ambitious plan initially introduced in 1989 and which would potentially be a big step in finally solving Pakistan’s long-standing energy crisis, looks to finally get underway this month. But not if the US gets its way.
The US State Department has issued a statement today insisting that building a pipeline to Iran from which to import natural gas was in and of itself a “sanctionable” offense, which the US considers wholly unacceptable.
Spokeswoman Victoria Nuland said that the US intended to help Pakistan overcome its energy crisis, but that actually importing energy from a neighbor with a surplus was not the right way to go about it.
The US has repeatedly made such threats over the past several years, and has repeatedly promised energy aid if the plan was scrapped. That energy aid never seems to materialize however, and after stalling the plan for years, Pakistan seems set to go ahead with it.
Haha. Lord, there is no end to USA’s disgusting bullying around the globe. Good that Pakistan is still going forward with the agreement with Iran.
